Living in Culture of Corruption

Huge messages are coming everyday in the newspapers about corruptions in the country. At the same time suggestions from different corners and from different levels are coming to us showing the paths to eliminate corruption from the country. Print media and electronic media are raising the issue in various ways. The interesting thing is - the number of crimes is increasing in many sectors instead of reduced. As if the criminals damn care the government rules and regulations. Various types of corruptions exist in our society. Bribe is one of the most dangerous crimes that can destroy the whole nation. Once it enters into a society, its activities increase exponentially.
It is known all over the world that Bangladesh topped the list of corrupt countries several times. We have now reached the saturated point. The most alarming information is our new generation including university students who are our hopes for future are growing up with the attitudes of corruption. This is the high time to eliminate it fully. If we allow corruption to reach the super saturation point, the whole system will collapse and destruction is then obvious for the nation.
We know corruption is done by human beings (Insan, the best creation of Almighty Allah) and we know who are the criminals and who are involved in corruption. They are around us. We might not encourage them but we never discourage them to do corruption. Sometimes we praise them as part of their success. The corrupt people rarely feel they are doing anything wrong. They become mad for making money. Unfortunately, they cannot gain at the end of the race.
A significant number of people in the country are involved in corruption and they feel more convenient in making money through corruption. They are our brothers and sisters or neighbors. There is a very important role for us to play in making the country free from corruption.
There are countries in the universe almost free from corruption. Greedy people are there as well but they do not dare to do crime. At the age of modern technologies, there are various ways of making a country fully free from corruption. Not only the technological solutions are there but the solutions may come through ethical, religious, social, cultural, local-indigenous and scientific ways too. The solutions are so easy that once we will be surprised what type of fools we were.
Now let us know - do we really want a corruption free country? How much sincere are we in that respects? The question is there for everybody - from root level people to the top people like the President of a country. If the answer is yes, it takes only few days to make it happen. People of Bangladesh then can claim as a model country for Peace.
